A very attentive listening doctor who handled the pre-op and the operation with great care and the post-op has been totally first class.5 weeks on the operation has been totally successful,the scars are almost invisible and I am walking 6 miles a day. I saw Mr Deguara at the New Voctoria Hospital after a scan (for another purpose) had suggested that I had two inguinal hernias He confirmed the diagnosis with a physical examination and then we discussed the options. He explained fully that although the condition could be left, this would mean the symptoms would continue and furthermore there was risk of complications at a later date. The decision was mine to have the operation by keyhole surgery based on his analysis. He later sent me a full description of the condition, the operation and the risks. A date was fixed very quickly for day surgery. Mr Deguara came to see me before the operation and again went through the rationale and the risks. All went well, and he personally telephoned my wife to say that this was the case. He came to see me after I had come round from the anaesthetic and confirmed that he was very happy with the operation. He also explained what I could and could not do over the next few days, weeks and months before making a follow up appointment. He clearly had an excellent relationship with the very good team of nursing staff at the hospital.

I have had gallbladder removal by Dr Deguara who is an excellent surgeon, both the surgery and post-surgery recovery at New Victoria hospital went very well. Both the hospital and the surgeon have been very thorough in pre-surgery evaluation and post-operative care. The conditions at hospital were excellent. I have no hesitation in recommending Dr Deguara to other patients.

I had a great experience. I was in great amount of pain and Dr Deguara was always available and very quick to act. The surgery was a success and I am so much better. I had the surgery at the private area in Kingston. The care given was excellent as well. I would definitely recommend both.
