Written by a NHS patient at Borders General Hospital

An example of an actual conversation; Husband: '...Mr Young I have no quality of life' Mr Young (gets up from his chair, walks round his desk); 'I mean, it could be worse..' (grins) ..'ye could be dead' (exits stage right! No, genuinely, he left the room! He was in the corridor trying to play Carry on Doctor with some poor nurses when we eventually got up and left!) He is disinterested in the patient or their well-being (unless you're a female patient!). He is a terrible example for the NHS, and indeed his students. Incapable of clear communication to either his subordinates OR his patients.
