Mr James Myerscough

My sincere thanks to Professor James Myerscough and his excellent Team. I was recommended to him after my NHS appointment was cancelled and postponed for a month. Upon my first meeting with him he immediately put me at ease , and explained the whole procedure and gave me a rough time scale, which was only two weeks waiting time . I left my first consultation with full confidence in him and feeling a lot calmer than when I went in to see him. He has a very easy and friendly way with him , that inspired my confidence in him . On the day of the operation the Team he was working with settled me in and prepared me for my double cataract surgery. When he arrived I would describe it , he strolled in , told me the order of events , put his hand in my arm , and said not to worry we will soon have you done. When I was taken into the theatre he welcomed me and put me at ease. He commenced and finished my operation in under 30 minutes , explaining everything in real time. I was absolutely amazed by his professionalism, which you expect, and the friendlyness of all his Team and Professor Myerscough. I left the hospital fully informed on what had been done and what I needed to do to carry on the healing. I was reassured that if I had any concerns or problems to contact his secretary. To sum up EXCELLENT , FRIENDLY , PROFESSIONAL TEAM, that made my whole experience better than I could have imagined it . Lastly a big Thank You to Lisa his Private Secretary for her patience with someone who isn’t very au fait with Technology.

From the first time meeting Mr James Myerscough he explained what will be done he was plight and caring The Second time I saw him when have eye seen to. Has he performed operation he was checking I was ok all the time. All staff at Southend Private Hospital were plight caring and Professional.

can only say that I have every confidence in Mr Myerscough, He has done both of my cataracts now and although I might still have problems ahead, he is reassuring and caring!
