I was very nervous about having a knee replacement as l have a fear of anaesthetic but he put my mind at ease. The attention to detail from pre op and after care was amazing as l recovered and from phone call when home. Good care from the Goring Hall staff and physios.

It is almost 2 weeks since my total hip replacement and I have been pain free for the whole time. I have taken no painkillers and have been walking unaided since day 3. I cannot speak highly enough of James Lewis. I cannot believe that anyone could recover from hip surgery so quickly and it is due to his excellent skills and caring manner. I can also recommend the staff at Goring Hall Hospital who cannot do enough for you and the theatre staff especially Stuart, we’re so kind.

It is now six weeks since my conformist knee operation was carried out by James Lewis. I am delighted with the results - improved mobility, less pain and renewed cycling. Mr Lewis explained the procedure in a calm and detailed manner. The operation went as planned, and the after care and physio has also been first class. The team in the ward and operating theatre at Goring were excellent. Fully committed and very professional . Mr Lewis is an exceptional surgeon, skilful and experienced and is highly recommended. James lewis has been fantastic for me, last year he did a replacement hip operation and just last week he's given me a new Knee, he's given me so much more than he knows so I'm extremely grateful for everything you have done for me. Everything went very well with my knee replacement and I was very impressed by Mr Lewis’ dedication. I was walking without aids within a week and although the inflammation is taking a while to settle, I am walking and driving. The wound was very neat and very little bruising. Mr Lewis has always been available to talk through any queries throughout the process. All in all he and Goring Hospital provided excellent care.
