I have been a female patient of Mr Hicks for over 10 years now on and off. I wouldn't see any other urologist. He is so knowledgeable, understanding & right!

After relocating to Southampton from the Midlands (and needing to see an experienced urologist) I was recommended by a good friend to see James Hicks who was described as 'the best' person to see and I am delighted to have followed that advice I shall always be eternally grateful for that recommendation. I consider myself to be very well blessed having had the benefit of the services of such an excellent doctor who is not only highly rated in his specialist field he is also a very caring professional with a genuine desire to listen to his patients and to attend to any concerns and to advise in a calm and easy manner; his patients can have complete faith and trust in this exceptional him. I am also very grateful to James Hicks for his skill and expertise and for his kindness and I have no hesitation in recommending him.

First time I saw mr hicks for pain and discomfort in male area he said " i wouldn't let anyone near the area"... slowly over long time it was getting better but in my anxiety I went A&E once who spotted a hydrocele and than again I saw Mr hicks who asked would i like it repaired and i without thinking about just said yes as Mr hicks said "it was easy to do and maybe a good chance for newer doctors to do" Not any explanation about side effects or complications. This hydrocele i had all the time it was small that even he did not notice the previous meeting....Anyway some other surgeon did it but Iam really regretting doing this operation it has caused me so much problems I have depression from more discomfort..it was totally unnecsary and cruel
