I had a total hip replacement with Mr Gibbs. He provided an excellent standard of care. His warm & caring approach enabled me to feel reassured & calm about the operation. A few days after the operation I was able to walk without walking aids & I have had not had any problems with my recovery. It feels amazing to be pain free, be mobile again & have my life back!

When I went to see Mr Gibbs I was fully expecting to be given steroid jabs but no, after MRI scans I was told I needed a hip replacement which surprised me! I was shown the scans and Mr Gibbs explained them to me and why I needed the operation and how it would be done and I felt reassured and confident that I was in good hands. The operation took place a few weeks later with Mr Gibbs coming to see me before, reassuring a nervous me and afterwards to say how well the op had gone and see how I was and amswering any questions.
I'm healing very well and all the way through I have found Mr Gibbs to be professional, friendly, reassuring and informative.
Should I eventually need my other hip operated on I shall come back to see him.

I could not have hoped for a better surgeon to perform my first operation. Mr Gibbs explained my condition, the options available and helped me to understand the procedure in layman's terms, which helped me be fully prepared for the procedure.
Most importantly, the hip operation could not have gone better and my recovery is now progressing very well.

Mr. Gibbs explained to me clearly what was wrong with my knee and the treatment he recommended, which was a total knee replacement. At each meeting, I found him kind and encouraging, reassuring me on the points that worried me. The operation has been a success and I look forward to recovery and a return to a much more normal life and lack of pain.

He regularly manages hip and knee conditions along with sports injuries. He performs above average numbers of hip and knee replacements including Robotic surgery, partial knee replacement and hip resurfacing. He is also a specialist in redo joint replacement surgery. He also performs key-hole surgery and ligament reconstruction for soft tissue and sports injuries. He has an interest in joint preservation treatments for arthritis such as visco-supplementation and corrective osteotomy surgery.
