I had cataracts removed and new lenses inserted in both my eyes. The end result is that I have perfect vision for both distance and reading; I don't a prescription for either! I was told prior to the operations that I may still need glasses for reading after the replacements but luckily that is not the case. Mr Chawla and Jenny were both very professional, helpful and easy to talk to. The operation was not as scary as I thought it would be and the staff at the Spire Hartswood were excellent. Mr Chawla is obviously a brilliant surgeon. I would totally recommend both Mr Chawla and the Spire to anyone needing this treatment.

Mr Chawla recently performed cataract operations on both of my eyes at Spire Hartswood Hospital. I was extremely plesed with the care that I received from Mr Chawla, Jenny (his theatre nurse) and the rest of his team. Everything was explained in detail beforehand and the whole of the team at Hartswood did their utmost to reassure me on the days of the operations. Although I was nervous before the first operation, I can honestly say that everyone did their best to set my mind at rest and it was a far more pleasant experience than I could possibly have imagined!
