Advised me not to have Achilles reconstruction without scanning the rupture as he felt it was ok. A private scan showed the rupture to be over 2cm, anything over 0.5cm. on reviewing the literature it is remanded that anything over 0.5cm is surgically repaired. I did ask for a scan but he denied i need one.
