I was twice treated by Mr. Polyzois for trigger finger, and he performed surgery on my right hand in September 2020, and again on my left hand in May 2021. I found him to be a warm and engaging doctor/surgeon, who went well beyond what I expected in terms of patient care, reassurance, and medical expertise. I was more than pleased with both surgical outcomes, and the follow-up care, physio, and general advice offered to me by Mr. Polyzois and the members of his team. Any surgery to the hand is of course extremely delicate, yet both procedures were successfully completed in the minimum amount of time, and I was constantly updated and reassured throughout the process. I would highly recommend Mr. Polyzois and his team for treatment/surgery of this nature.

I developed a significant lump in my shoulder which started to become uncomfortable. After seeing my GP, I pursued further investigations via medical insurance and chose Mr. Polyzois based on his profile and experience as well as the fact that he practised not far from my home address. I count myself very fortunate to have made that decision as the whole process from start to finish was conducted in an exemplary manner. Mr. Polyzois’ medical secretary was very helpful initially and continued to be so, making the administrative side of things that much easier to navigate. Mr. Polyzois himself instantly inspired confidence and was very clear in messaging and in laying out the proposed course of action. The diagnostic tests required were carried out quickly and reassuringly and I was informed that I had a lipoma that was 6cm in diameter. I elected to have this removed and Mr. Polyzois performed the procedure at the Schoen clinic in London. Again, all the staff I encountered were extremely reassuring and proficient and made the process that much easier. I was prescribed some post-operative medication for pain relief but it was not really required after the first few days. Two weeks after the operation I saw Mr. Polyzois again and could honestly say that I hadn’t really been troubled at all by my wound. The removal of my dressing uncovered a very tidy, 4 inch scar. The whole process from initially contacting Mr. Polyzois’ team to post-operative assessment took a matter of 5 weeks and I could not be happier with the standard of care or outcome. I have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending him.

I had restricted movement in my right shoulder meaning it was impossible to move it beyond horizontal and forward or back. It was extremely restricting and impacting my day to day life. After a number of physio treatments Mr Polyzois was recommended to me. After cortisone injections didn't improve the issue I underwent keyhole surgery with Mr Polyzois. I enjoy playing golf and was expecting to be out of the game for 12 weeks, but 7 weeks later I am back playing. The surgery was a great success and I can't recommend Mr Polyzois highly enough. Movement is 90% of the way back and I am sure after another month or so it will be all back.

Dr Polyzois was extremely helpful and friendly. He explained my procedure so clearly and was patient answering all my questions. He did an amazing job fixing my arm, felt really comfortable and at ease throughout the whole process of my operation.

Mr Polyzois listened to me and then gave me sound AND the RIGHT advice. 2 months later I’m swimming again and life seems more fun again. I know this is his job but personally I’m very grateful our paths have met. Thank you Mr Polzois ! Guy Young
