Mr Ioannis Polyzois

I was seen by Mr Polyzois, and following the initial discussion was quickly referred for scans and diagnosis, which led to a recommendation for surgery. He described the injury, and what type of surgery was required, and when/where it could be performed. The surgery was arranged immediately and completed by Mr Polyzois within 2 weeks of diagnosis. Clear information was provided of the procedure, clinic, and process for the day os surgery and what would happen thereafter. All went according to plan: I was in and out of the clinic on the same day, and after a period of convalescence, had a progress meeting with Mr Polyzois, aswell as to organise physio therapy sessions to regain full fitness. I found the whole process straightforward, was given clear advise at each stage, and it was all done in a quick, efficient and informed way. My treatment was of an excellent standard and I am now well on the way to full recovery.

Mr Polyzois operated on my right shoulder on the 4th March, 2022 and already it has heals well and he said that I don’t need a sling any more two and a half weeks later and can resume my child minding duties in a week and drive in a month. I never had any pain from the operation only stiffness in my arm from the nerve blockers. Mr Polyzois is very polite and explains everything you need to know before and after the operation. I have no hesitation in recommending him.

I cannot praise Mr Polyzois and the team at the BMI highly enough, I came to him with a bad dislocation of the shoulder, he told me I needed a complex procedure to put it right and since that day I haven’t looked back, he went through all the pros and cons with me and listened to my concerns with great care and put my mind at rest Immediately, I had the operation last September and my shoulder and arm have recovered brilliantly, I would not hesitate to recommend Mr Polyzois to anyone having doubts about having orthopaedic surgery with him or his team at the hospital.

I have only praise for Mr Ioannis Polyzois. He is polite, caring and I had every confidence in his diagnosis and subsequent treatment. My appointments were never rushed, he is thorough and knowledgeable. I highly recommend Mr Polyzois for anyone with orthopaedic issues. Thanks to him I am now pain free.

I injured my right shoulder in October 2021. When I saw Mr Polyzois and explained the injury and also my desire to return to my active lifestyle. During the consultation he clearly explained the options and I chose to go down the surgery route, as this had the best probability of me being able to return to full use of my shoulder. The surgery (LARS ligament reconstruction) went well and I was home the same day. Post surgery the shoulder has recovered well and 3 months on it is very nearly back to normal. I am very pleased with the outcome of the surgery and Ioannis has been great to explain my questions and give me straight and professional answers regarding the best outcomes for my shoulder.
