Fantastic Surgeon! Mr Polyzois repaired a tear to my supraspinatus tendon after I dislocated my shoulder falling off my horse. Mr Polyzois was very approachable and helpful and thoroughly explained the procedure prior to my surgery, including giving me full details on the likely rehabilitation process with timescales. Following my surgery my shoulder is healing very well with no scarring. The nurse who removed my stitches commented that Mr Polyzois' patients always have very neat stitches. I would fully recommend Mr Polyzois to anyone who is concerned about having shoulder surgery as it will be worth the end result.

I broke my right clavicle in a fall from my bicycle. I am an avid triathlete with hopes of qualifying for the World Championships in a few years. This break was a real set back. After a consultation with Mr. Polyzois it was decided that the break was sufficient enough that surgery would give me the best outcome. Within a week the operation was performed and I was home recuperating. All through the process the communication from Mr. Polyzois and his team was first class. Questions were answered quickly and clearly. At every point during my engagement with this fine fellow I felt he had my best interests to mind. I was glad to say that 8 weeks after surgery I was succesfully able to swim 1500m, ride 40km and run 10km, pain free. Truely remarkable and I have no hesitation offering my recommendation.

Dr. Polyzois carried out LARS reconstruction after a grade 3 shoulder seperation. The operation was 3 months ago and i have just had my final meeting on the progress. Throughout the whole process i have had incredible support and have had all the information i needed to understand what to do and how to help my recovery. The improvement in the movement of my shoulder and the fact i have no pain now makes it very easy to recommend Dr. Polyzois to anyone.

I am a serving Firefighter of 25+ years who incurred a major pec tendon rupture (avulsion - I love that word!) in May of this year 2021. When it happened, after the initial "twang"and rippling feeling, I held my armpit expecting pain but there was just a dread of what possible injury I had sustained. After a hospital visit, X-ray then emergency MRI, I had my first consultation with Dr Polyzois; he not only listened to how it was done, but also took into account my profession and how best and fast to deal with the injury. He informed me that because I had completely removed the tendon from the bone there should be a full recovery and 100% return to normality. At all times he professional and straight forward explaining what needed to be done. On the day of the surgery I was given a nerve block (no pain but strange feeling) and Dr Polyzois was there to reassure me and put my mind at rest. The procedure went extremely well. The scar initially looked awful but once the scar tissue reduced it turned into a very small and tidy scar, which cannot be seen when my arms are by my side. My arm was kept in a sling for six weeks as advised by Dr Polyzois and re-iterated by the Physio, and told not to use the arm at all whilst in the sling. A follow up consultation after the six weeks where Dr Polyzois checked and made sure all going well and both he and the Physiotherapy department kept me informed and on track. My recovery has been long and hard due to being very active before, but by adhering to the excellent care of Dr Polyzois it has worked well, and I will return to full duties mid October. Dr Polyzois has been and is very friendly and approachable but do as you're advised for best outcome. Thank you Dr Polyzois
