I had blepharoplasty performed under local anaesthetic. The most uncomfortable part was the anaesthetic injection. The actual operation went well but Dr Sherafat had to rush away to a meeting at the end, and due to pressure of work the team had obviously worked part of their lunch hour and were keen to be off. This meant that I was left with a nurse, who was not that clear about what instructions to give me regarding drops and ointment. I had to question and double check with him at a time when I was not at my brightest. Instructions should be clearly written down, also other information such as whether the stitches used dissolve or need removing. Dr Sherafat clearly said that he wanted me to return in one week but the appointment I was given was more than two weeks away. This was immediately corrected when I telephoned the eye unit. I am very pleased with the results of the operation and how quickly I was seen from the initial referral . Thank you very much.

I am extremely happy with the kind and considerate care I have received from Dr. Hooman Sherafat at Kingston Hospital who performed a reconstruction after the removal of a basal cell carcinoma from under my eye. The repair is so good that it is difficult to tell where it has been done and this after only a few weeks. As an 89 year old woman, I was very anxious when I first went to see Dr. Sherafat, not least of all because of the stories one hears about the care of the elderly , but he quickly allayed my fears and I have nothing but praise for this kind and accomplished doctor.

I had cataract surgery in both eyes, five weeks apart and any initial concerns I may have had were dealt with with sympathy and understanding by Dr Sherafat who explained everything in detail and left no stone unturned to ensure that the procedures went as smoothly as possible and that the outcome was successful - which it was

I have recently had an operation for ptosis, which was performed by Dr Hooman Sherafat on the NHS. From the first outpatient appointment I had with him, I felt I was in the hands of an extremely competent and professional surgeon. Dr Sherafat explained what the procedure would entail with kindness and compassion and he answered my questions in every day language that I could understand, which reassured me and gave me total confidence in him, putting me very much at ease. The result Dr Sherafat has achieved with my eyes has gone above and beyond my expectations and I will be forever grateful to him.

Very easy to talk to. Confident in his approach which was reassuring. Felt that he cared about me and my condition and wanted the best result for me.
