Explained all the procedure to take place and I was allowed to ask any questions,I felt totally confident and at ease about the whole operation.I have to have the same operation on my other foot,and have no worries at all . This consultant has performed three procedures on my ankle: lateral ligament rebuild, calcanean osteotomy and an ankle fusion. None of these procedures has either alleviated my pain or enabled me to walk. I can now only walk with the aid of crutches, and will soon be wheelchair bound, as I have been referred onwards for revisionary surgery following the failed arthrodesis

I was seen by Mr Maxwell at Oakland hospital for a hip replacement the treatment I received was first class, Mr Maxwell went though everything with me. nursing staff excellent after care excellent, I would highly recommend Oakland hospital and Mr Maxwell.

Top surgeon and just a really nice guy,talks clearly so i understand(not always the case with other consultants)likes a bit of fun,he is "normal,human"But gotta say,not all down to him,he is surrounded by fantastic staff that make a terrific team.Well done all at Oaklands,cheers.
