Mr. Maxwell confirmed my need for a Hip Replacement, which was a huge relief due to my discomfort levels. He explained the procedure in terms we can all relate to, showing x rays to emphasise the problem and physically showed me the new implants / fixings. Fantastic manner, confidence and knowledge, leaving me in no doubt as to his abilities. He reacted to my mentioning that I would be available at short notice, especially any cancellations, by offering an incredibly quick surgery date. I'm currently off work and healing well. The surgery, level of care at Oaklands is exceptional. The follow up Physio classes are professional and helpful and working. Also, special mention of Louise Brown, who heads up the clinic and did my initial assessment and recommendation of surgery. Great, warm personality and a hugely experienced. Brilliant NHS at It's best. Total respect all round - Thank you. Nigel Boothman.

as has been said before in the reviews mr maxwell is at the top of his proffession in every way a consultant who you can talk to and replies in everyday language and respectability, myself underwent a total knee replacement almost 3 years ago with 100% satisfaction just in the last 2 weeks mr maxwell performed total knee replacement on my other knee all is ok so a big thanks to mr maxwell and all the crew involved in the surgery / after care etc not forgetting the good lady sorting out the dining requests!!! after suffering for many years with painful knees can assure you its welcome relief so once again thanks mr maxwell and crew

I have been under the care of Mr Maxwell for many years and find him to be a complete professional and excellent in his works. Mr Maxwell diagnosed me with a genetic disorder that had been missed by many over my lifetime. His duty to care is beyond question. Recently I had the bad fortune of developing a condition in my ankle that most surgeons will only see maybe once or twice in their careers but it was spotted by Mr Maxwell. I have very a complex condition in my ankle and have over the last years received exemplary care from Mr Maxwell when other surgeons have admitted defeat.
