A brilliant, talented and very caring Surgeon. Mr. Shingler performed a pylorus preserving pancreaticoduodenectomy on me at Morriston Hospital on 6 April 2018 and, thanks to him and his team, I am about to become one of the 6% who survive this operation for 5 years. There were serious complications with my op. which resulted in it lasting for more than 10 hours but Mr. Shingler and team persisted and succeeded. I, my wife, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren are all indebted to him. A superb Surgeon in whom you can have the fullest confidence. Thank God we hqave such people in our NHS>

I recently had a pylorus preserving pancreatico-duodenectomy under Mr. Shingler's care at Morriston Hospital. Throughout the course of my admission, it was very reassuring that he called to see me most days and instilled confidence in me for my postoperative recovery. He also made the effort of ringing my daughter after surgery to let her know how it went, given that she was unable to visit due to COVID restrictions. He is supported by an excellent team of registrars and specialist nurse practitioners who were always more than happy to help. I am very fortunate and grateful that Mr. Shingler was able to perform my surgery.
