The level of care was first class throughout: from pre-operative assessment through to post-operative follow up. Having explained the procedure in detail, he also provided an evaluation of the benefits and associated potential risks. The corrective hand surgery was carried out to the very highest standard which allowed a very fast healing and recovery process. Thank you for all your help!

Mr Shyamalan has been incredibly helpful to me throughout my procedure as well as in all of my follow-up visits. He has been very easy to speak to, understanding and honest throughout the process.

I broke my wrist 3 years ago and although it appeared to heal I was in constant pain. After seeing Mr Shyamalan he suggested an operation to lengthen the radius which did improve things. A further operation to shorten the ulna was also needed. I am now virtually pain free and am working on improving the strength and mobility of my arm. I am so pleased with the time and trouble Mr Shyamalan took to explain the way forward and likely outcomes. He is an excellent, knowledgeable surgeon and I cannot recommend him highly enough.

I have suffered with Dupytrens contracture in both hands for more than 30 years. After 1 meeting with Mr Shyamalan he quickly identified that an amputation of my little finger would be the best course of action. Personally this was quite a scary prospect. The operation was performed under a local anaesthetic and now 3 weeks after the operation I am well on the way to using my hand without any problems. He and all his team were fantastic.

A couple of years ago I fell and, without realising, broke my little finger. Over time it healed but became so bent and twisted that it was not only pretty useless but made putting on any kind of gloves difficult. I went to see Mr Shyamalan who ordered X-rays that also showed a degree of arthritis in the joints. He agreed to operate to give better function and appearance but warned that the finger would never be ‘perfect’. The result he has achieved, however, is amazing. During the operation he considered different options, depending how close the fracture was to the joint line, and decided a replacement knuckle joint was also needed. With aftercare involving the wearing of a brace, my little finger is now virtually straight, working well and looks good too. I’d like to thank Mr Shyamalan and his team for their support and expertise.
