I have been suffering from Carpel Tunnel Syndrome and Osteoarthritis in both wrists; and have had numerous steroid injections from GP but that did not help me. Eventually, I was referred to a consultant who carried out the minor operations, but again the operation was not successful as the pain did not go away.
I was fortunate enough to come across Mr Shyamalan who carried out both operations for Carpel Tunnel and Osteoarthritis at the same time and since then my pain has gone away and I am able to carry out daily tasks and living pain free for more than three years now.
I would recommend Mr Shyamalan as a highly professional, friendly, empathic and understand person.
Thanks for this lovely review. I'm delighted that you had a great experience. Regards Shyam
The level of care was first class throughout: from pre-operative assessment through to post-operative follow up. Having explained the procedure in detail, he also provided an evaluation of the benefits and associated potential risks. The corrective hand surgery was carried out to the very highest standard which allowed a very fast healing and recovery process. Thank you for all your help!
Mr Shyamalan has been incredibly helpful to me throughout my procedure as well as in all of my follow-up visits.
He has been very easy to speak to, understanding and honest throughout the process.
I broke my wrist 3 years ago and although it appeared to heal I was in constant pain. After seeing Mr Shyamalan he suggested an operation to lengthen the radius which did improve things. A further operation to shorten the ulna was also needed. I am now virtually pain free and am working on improving the strength and mobility of my arm.
I am so pleased with the time and trouble Mr Shyamalan took to explain the way forward and likely outcomes. He is an excellent, knowledgeable surgeon and I cannot recommend him highly enough.
I have suffered with Dupytrens contracture in both hands for more than 30 years. After 1 meeting with Mr Shyamalan he quickly identified that an amputation of my little finger would be the best course of action. Personally this was quite a scary prospect. The operation was performed under a local anaesthetic and now 3 weeks after the operation I am well on the way to using my hand without any problems.
He and all his team were fantastic.
