I was referred to Mr Rudol relating an ongoing neck issue. It transpired that I needed an ACDF (2 levels). The support, professionalism and much appreciated humour/whit helped me overcome any nervousness that I had leading up to, during and after the procedure. I could have asked for a better experience of the service provided by the NHS, in particular, Mr Rudol and his staff My quality of life has improved all expectation Forever grateful Thanks

It wasnt until after the back surgery, completed by Mr Rudol, that I realised how much pain I had been in, all day everyday. The relief was impossible to explain. Mr Rudol had explained the surgery clearly and simply. Telling me what to expect with my condition before and my recovery after the operation. Having such a major operation was daunting but at all times Mr Rudol made me feel confident and as if I was definately in the right hands. My experience has been life changing. I am able to walk without discomfort and am now able to take part in sport on a weekly basis. Thankyou!

Mr Rudol was great from my first appointment. He was friendly, welcoming and put me at ease. He explained options in laypersons terms and was very open & honest around procedures/risks etc so I could make an informed decision. I had a recent procedure which went very well and mr Rudol seemed genuinely happy for me which was nice. Would 100% recommend

Well, where do I start... I had researched online about Mr Rudol's qualifications, he pasted with flying colours. He explained all aspects of the procedures that would be taking place, in layman's terms with empathy. He took onboard all my health issues and concerns about the operation. I was very confident that the operation would go well, which I had been terrified about. The actually operation was a great success, hardly any pain what so ever! Due to my daily exercise routine, I was well enough to be released from hospital after just one nights stay! Excellent...….. He is a wonderful surgeon and person, and we are all very lucky to have him...

2 years ago I was a fit, active 36 year old and keen cyclist. One morning after a ride I woke up with terrible sciatic pain and unable to walk. My experience with NHS was unfortunately poor and there was an acceptance that this happens and an offer to sign me off work. No investigative work into cause and extreme reluctance to offer any service to try and restore a pain free life. Through booking a private MRI, physio and medication, I managed to live a relatively normal life although in pain varying from nagging to severe. 8 months ago pain began escalating again and began restricting my activities, it was at this point I contacted Mr Rudol. It was great to finally have someone look at how this could be managed and outline the potential steps from conservative treatments to the different types of surgery options available. We tried injections however these were unsuccessful and finally decided to take the surgical route and went for a lumbar microdiscectomy. The care before and after was great, risks were outlined and I was fully informed before proceeding. It's now 8 weeks since the operation and it is the best thing I could have done. My experience in recovery is immediate relief after the operation, followed by 1-2 weeks of leg pain returning / increasing, weeks 3 onwards pain decreasing. I'm pleased to say leg pain is almost completely gone and improvement continues. I'm looking forward to getting my fitness back and returning to football, DIY etc. Thank you Mr Rudol!
