Surgeon Gordon Shepard was brilliant from start to finish. Explained in detail from putting me on the hip replacement list, through to surgery and recovery. Explained the arthritis in my right hip was years of wear and tear. Surgery on the 27th July 21 went brilliantly and was recovering at home within 36 hours. Only used the crutches for a week, staples came out 2 weeks later, Darwen health link commented (that looks a lovely scar). Mr Shepard shown me X-ray of before & after the operation. Returned to work 8 weeks after operation (light duties). Special thanks to all the nurses and physio at Beardwood in Blackburn just absolutely amazing. Sheila in pre-op to B (Bernadette) in recovery, Sarfaraz & Connel in physio, plus many others. Can’t thank Mr Shepard enough for what he’s done for me. (Highly recommend) Ever grateful Phil Greenwood
