Upon first impressions, Dr Allwin came across as very humble man. I had a deviated septum and also breathing problems through my left nostril. I had wanted my nose corrected for a long time. We agreed that he would perform rhinoseptoplasty, but that he could not guarantee that he could get my nose 100% straight. I went into the contract under the impression that if my nose wasn't as straight as I wanted it, I could have corrective surgery. With full trust, I had the surgery and was very disappointed with my results. My nose is still deviated and not as straight as I would have liked, and my nostrils are completely uneven. The tip of my nose is horrendous and I much preferred it before the surgery. My nose is straighter, but I haven't had many improvements with the breathing and the tip of my nose is completely messed up as well as my nostrils. When I had the post- op appointment, I told Dr Allwin I wasn't happy with my nose and he got the contract out in front of me and told me that we agreed he couldn't get it 100% straight. I was very disappointed with his reaction. He should have at least showed concern. I said to him that showing me that is like setting me up for failure. After this, he proceeded to 'show concern', although I didn't feel as though he was exactly showing concern at all since he should have done this before showing me the contract. I paid him that money if I am not happy with my nose I expect him to do his job as a surgeon and correct it. From my own observations, it was as though he was trying to make it very difficult for me to have corrective surgery. I do not believe that Dr Allwin is practising in good faith. The moment he showed me the contract I completely lost trust in him. I was very disappointed with my nose and reported him to the manager. The chaperone that was present with us denied any recollection that he had shown me the contract. I requested a meeting with the both of them but was refused seeing as I said I didn't want corrective surgery with that doctor. I do not recommend Dr Allwin at all, or the Harley Medical Group.
