I saw Dr Alex Digesu (Giuseppe is his 2nd name) at Lindo Wing / Imperial Private Healthcare, initially to obtain a 2nd opinion on a suggested prolapse-surgery for bladder-issues. He talked me out this making me aware that such surgery might not cure my issues. Instead, he suggested tests on my bladder, including a cystoscopy. I was initially not impressed, but the precision with which he explained the steps convinced me to give it a go. The cystoscopy uncovered a chronic bladder-condition (not connected to the prolapse) from which I have probably suffered for years. I was very impressed and the results were explained to me in detail, inc. pictures, biopsy-results etc. After having been misdiagnosed for years and having almost agreed to a surgery which wouldn't have solved my issues, I am very happy that I chose to see Dr Digesu who is very knowledgeable and very precise. A disappointment is the aftercare at Lindo Wing, which is poorly as simply not existent (I was in strong pain). Lindo does not operate an emergency aftercare service like the private hospitals in the City, i.e. if you're in trouble you have to call your consultant or approach you local NHS. However, Dr Digesu's will pick up his phone if you need him after treatment (he saw me on a Saturday). I'm very happy that I finally know my condition and also how to manage this long-term and I would recommend this consultant without reservations.
