As a breast cancer patient I met with Dr Giles Davies to discuss suitable surgical options. Dr Davies was well prepared, listened to my concerns, provided the needed reassurance while answering all my questions. Dr Davies’ is clearly very experienced with the rare type of cancer I have, understood the care plan needed to achieve not only the best cosmetic outcome but also reduce the risk of recurrence. His compassionate and highly responsive behaviour was of great reassurance at a very daunting time in my life. He was supportive of my choice of surgery while being meticulous in highlighting the pros/cons and possible alternatives. Notwithstanding his excellent surgical skills, his holistic view on patient comfort and expectations very clearly set him well above his colleagues in the breast oncology field. Also and perhaps most importantly, Dr Davies does not work in isolation. Throughout my treatment, he sought to discuss, review and communicate with my oncologist and the entire medical team involved in my care. That alone gave me the confidence that I was being treated holistically by a fantastic team, all specialities working together to achieve the best care.

I have been a patient of Mr Davies for quite a few years, and would recommend him very highly. He's thorough, kind and reassuring, and good at explaining things in non-medical terms. Making an appointment with him is also an easy process, and his P.A. is very friendly and efficient.
