Mr Kelly was immediately very welcoming and created a great rapport with both myself and my son. He was very thorough in taking a clear history and putting my son at ease to do an examination of his ears. He was very clear about his management plan. He was very approachable and easy to ask questions. We very much appreciated his help and would highly recommend him.

Mr. Kelly put me at ease the moment I entered the room and thereafter as he listened to my concerns. Obviously very professional but at the same time very friendly and easy to talk to. He is reassuring and inspires confidence and has an excellent 'bedside manner'. I can't recommend him highly enough.

Very friendly doctor who made me feel at ease and explained the procedure clearly.
Procedure was performed quickly and without too much discomfort and the doctor was able to explain and diagnose quickly what the problem was. I left the consultation knowing that I had nothing to worry about and my throat/voice problem would eventually return to normal.

This was my first appointment with Dr Kelly and I immediately felt sure that I was in good hands. You sometimes just know. It was so refreshing for me to find a consultant so obviously at the top of his field. He diagnosed me within 10 minutes and gave me clear and concise information on my condition. I walked out feeling incredibly relieved and reassured by the whole experience. Once I got home I realised there were a few things I had forgotten to ask and he was kind enough to respond very quickly to my email with the extra information. All around a very positive experience. I much appreciated the interest he took in me as a person and the trouble he went to to take a detailed history, and understand the particular reasons and problems for which I was consulting him.
His explanations for what was causing my symptoms and how far he could go to alleviate them was simple and easily understandable by a layman.
All in all I found him very helpful and sympathetic

Gerard Kelly is a Consultant ENT surgeon in Leeds, he specialises in otology, neuro-otology and sinus surgery and treats both adults and children. He works in Leeds General Infirmary in NHS practice. He qualified in 1990 and became a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons in 1994. He trained in Glasgow, Edinburgh, London and Manchester. He became a consultant ENT and skull base surgeon in 2001, in Leeds.
In private practice her works in the Spire Hospital, Leeds and The Leeds Nuffield Hospital. He sees only private patients in the private sector (whereas some consultants see both NHS and private patients in private hospitals). He is a member of the council of the British Society of Otology (BSO, part of ENTUK) and runs the BSO balance course.
