I took my son (who has a speech delay) to see Dr Kelly as we needed to get his hearing tested to rule out any issues. My son was very upset and worked up going into the appointment but Dr Kelly was very professional, friendly and made us feel at ease in the appointment which made a bad situation much easier. Although we couldn’t get all the results we wanted (due to my son being uncooperative) Dr Kelly helped refer us to have further appointments with someone who could help further. Nothing was too much trouble and he went above & beyond to help.

I went to Mr Kelly with unexplained pain in my throat that a previous consultant was not sure how to treat. He was a great listener and went through all my symptoms with me. I felt very reassured with Mr Kelly as he paid so much attention to what I said and I knew he really understood my issues. He recommended surgery which he carried out at Nuffield hospital. Overall I was very happy with my treatment.

Gerard Kelly was the best consultant I could have wished for. He was extremely knowledgeable, made sure I was comfortable with everything and put my mind at rest with any questions I had. Nothing was too much trouble. On the day of my operation (septoplasty & reduction of inferior turbinates) Mr Kelly came to see me before the operation, again checking everything was ok and if I had any questions. The Operation went really well and I had no pain at all after the operation which was amazing. Four weeks on from the operation my nasal airway has significantly improved and all signs positive for the future thank you to this amazing consultant.

I consulted Mr Kelly concerning my eardrum which had perforated and he was entirely happy to operate to repair it. I had previously attended another hospital and consultant who was very dismissive about repairing the eardrum and gave me a hearing aid which was ineffective. Therefore I was very relieved to find Mr Kelly who did believe it was a straightforward procedure which he was happy to take on. I found Mr Kelly friendly, approachable and happy to give time to explain my problem and how it could be repaired and felt confident to go ahead with the tympanoplasty. The operation itself was day surgery and Mr Kelly made sure he saw me before the procedure and was comfortable with everything. The follow up care was also thorough and well explained with hearing and pressure tests as well as physical examination. I would thoroughly recommend Mr Kelly and would have no hesitant to consult him again if necessary.
