I attended The Spire as a day case for a laproscopic cholecystectomy (gall bladder removal).
Throughout the whole process, the care and attention from Mr Robertson and his team was spot on. He carefully explained the proceedure, invited questions and addressed any concerns. Consequently, the proceedure went smoothly with minimal discomfort and bruising, leaving only minor/small scars which have almost disappeared.
Totally recommend this doctor.

A Very confident and competent surgeon. I was given prompt attention and care. All details of the operation and procedures were given and along with a very helpful booklet from Spire, giving all details of pre and post operative care.
Post op recovery and pain control was very good, being a day surgery case. Minimal bruising, with scares exceptionally neat and tidy. Excellent follow up, with no problems.

Gavin was great at explaining the proposed procedure and enacted everything thoroughly and professionally.
He also performed a minor procedure as part of the main work which he said was necessary and could easily be done at the same time.

Gavin Robertson is a Consultant Surgeon in Leicester specialising in laparoscopic (keyhole) surgery, especially surgery for gallstones having performed more than 4500, with no bile duct injuries and hernias;- inguinal, incisional, umbilical and ventral (more than 5000), He is an expert in the investigation and treatment of abdominal pain and the management of liver and pancreas cancers.
He qualified in 1984 in Leicester, trained in centres across the world before becoming a Consultant in 1999. He has specialised in laparoscopic surgery for over 20 years.
