Referred to Mr Batra, quick appointment and diagnosis explained. Explained options and what would be best for me, due to age, decided to try and manage initially with weight loss and exercise. However deteriorated quickly and pain was debilitating for me, Mr Batra agreed to carry out total hip replacement. The options I had were explained fully and choice given. Speedy service by Oakland’s (within 8 weeks of decision being made) for operation.
Oakland’s provided great care, I was extremely nervous and this was accommodated professionally by all.
Hip pain relief was immediate, and 7 weeks post op I was walking 5 miles on a trip to Ireland (previously struggled to walk 1/2 mile) Scar is neat and healed very well. Physio given and important to complete at home for maximum benefits.
Post op check 8 weeks with planned follow up in 4 months.
Would recommend Mr Batra and Oakland’s.
