I had a total thyroid removal 8 weeks ago. The care I received from Peterborough hospital previous to the operation was excellent. The operation went very well and I made a quick recovery. I felt very confident in Mr Furrat Amen and all his team ,and I would highly recommend

Mr Furrat Amen…He was caring and very patient, before my operation I needed a second meet for re-assurance, I felt that I was being a nuisance, but it was not a problem at all, he gave me all the time and re-assurances I needed. The day of the op he and his team were 100% professional and caring to my needs, I had confidence in them all, The operation was a complete success, so I will always be grateful to them. I saw Mr Amen after the op and again before I left the hospital, and I have since had a follow up, all of which he was caring and understanding of my concerns.

So I started my septorhinoplasty journey in October 2022 with my consultation with Dr Amen. I then had my surgery in February 2023.
From pre op to post surgery I couldn’t fault Dr Amen. Through out my experience I felt comfortable and reassured. Dr Furrat gave excellent service and amazing communication with any questions or queries I had, and always was able to help me and see me if needed.
I would highly recommend Dr Furrat.

He completed genetics research at the Hammersmith Hospital, London, and was awarded a Masters degree in Surgical Sciences from Imperial College, London.
He was the international head and neck cancer surgical fellow at the Institut Gustave Roussy, Paris, France’s national and international referral centre for cancer and thyroid surgery and was awarded the Diploma of Head and Neck Cancer Studies at the University of Paris. His main interests are all forms of adult and paediatric ENT Surgery, head and neck cancer and thyroid surgery, and translational genetics cancer research allowing for personalised cancer treatment. He enjoys travelling, graphics design and modern architecture. He is married with two young children.
