I saw Mr Pakarian privately. He was most apologetic that he was running 15minutes late. This didn’t trouble me at all until I realised he was running the consultation at high speed and I am guessing in order to make up for the lost time - unless this is his usual consultation manner. He fired questions at me one after another without pausing for breath. He abandoned taking the biopsy without asking me if I was finding the procedure too painful to manage. I was so taken aback by his actions having endured the first part of the biopsy procedure which is quite painful in itself. It was most upsetting not to have been asked my opinion. The whole point of the appointment had been to have a biopsy taken. When I advised him I’d tolerated this before he said ‘You didn’t tell me’. He didn’t ask and having been bombarded with other questions it went out of my mind! It was a missed opportunity to get an early biopsy result and very upsetting to be treated this way. I left bleeding, with stomach cramps as a result of his failed attempt and no better off with regard to the cause of my problem. I wanted to write this review as I relied on other reviews I had read when booking my appointment to see him.

I had the Novasure procedure for very heavy painful periods linked to being peri menopausal. Despite my feeling anxious beforehand, I was delighted with the outcome and the quality of treatment. Two years on and all has been fine. Mr Pakarian really improved my quality of life.

I feel so lucky to have found Mr Pakarian; after many, many years of struggling with a little known condition it was an enormous relief to find a consultant who understood it, listened to me, understood me, took me seriously and offered me the surgery I needed. I can’t recommend him highly enough. Consultations have always been brilliant and he explains everything clearly, has the most calming, reassuring voice and I had every confidence in him. My surgery went really well, actually a wonderful experience (not my first surgery, one of many over the years).

Told me I had a different operation to what he actually done and was therefore put on wrong medication which made me not well at all. That was in 2011 and my 'problems' are still ongoing following 11 more surgeries!!!
