I have nothing but high praise for Mr Bajwa…..after previously being prodded and asked the same questions by medical staff who couldn’t find a diagnosis in the 36 hour period since my admission to hospital with severe abdominal pain and bloated gut….I’m forever grateful that this man was doing his ward rounds and knew immediate surgery was to be done, after which he informed me that in all possibility I would have died within the next few hours had he not operated on me for 5 hours that night in 2001.

Recently my partner, Mr Glyn Evans was referred by his GP to see Mr Bajwa, after a long-standing medical issue could not be resolved. At the hospital, after one Barium swallow test, and an Endoscopy, Mr Bajwa was able to give us an instant and accurate diagnosis. (My partner had already had an Endoscopy at a different hospital trust, and they could not give him a diagnosis.) My partner's case was very rare but we had a swift diagnosis and we were given all the information we needed about the condition. Glyn was going to need an operation, not commonly performed due to the rarity of the condition. Mr Bajwa was approachable friendly and so helpful, a real gentleman.We felt every confidence in him. Glyn had the operation, (Heller Myotomy) on Saturday 31st August at Fitzwilliam hospital, and thanks to the expertise of Mr Bajwa and his team, it was done by 'key-hole surgery', and Glyn was able to go home the same day. We have nothing but praise for Mr Bajwa and his team,and we are very grateful. The whole experience was as good as it could possibly be.

I went into the Fitzwilliam Hospital, Peterborough as a NHS patient on May 27 2017 to have my gall bladder removed by Mr.Bajwa. I had an initial consultation a few weeks prior to this when Mr.Bajwa thoroughly explained the procedure to me. He immediately put me at my ease and I at once felt a rapport with him which inspired complete confidence so that I felt that I was in 'safe hands' with someone who could be trusted. On the day of the operation he came to see me and again completely put me at my ease. I was in hospital as a day patient and went home at 6pm the same day with no side effects whatsoever. I saw Mr Bajwa at a follow-up consultation yesterday (June27) He is a very smart man genuine man who has time for you. Of all the doctors and consultants I have seen during my lifetime (I'm 78 years old) and have seen several, I would rate him most highly and thoroughly recommend him.

Lovely polite Gentlemen who treated me with great care and respect when undertaking my hernia operation. Both operative and post operative care to the highest standard. Hospital facilities and standard of nursing superb.

Mr Bajwa is a gentleman, excellent surgeon and top of his profession. I am pleased to have benefitted from his skill and care and I would not hesitate in recommending him to anyone else. From first consultation, operation and aftercare he explained everything about my treatment and put me at ease.
