Trained at Midlands, East of England and Cambridge. Higher surgical training at Cambridge rotation. Trained at five regional oesophagogastric cancer units and two regional Bariatric units in UK. Specialist interests are oesophagogastric cancer, bariatric/metabolic surgery, anti-reflux/hiatus hernia surgery and laparoscopic hernia repair. Doctor of Medicine from University of Nottingham - “role of oestrogen receptors in oesophageal cancer”. Awarded with regional research prizes-including Annual Research Prize from Midlands Gastroenterology Society. Over 50 peer-reviewed publications and authored 2 book chapters. A Faculty member of Royal college of Surgeons of England for the Care of the Critically ill Surgical Patient (CCrISP) course. Perform all Oesophageal and gastric cancer operations at regional centre at Hammersmith hospital, London and full range of Bariatric Surgery at regional Bariatric unit at Luton and Dunstable University Hospital. Perform advanced laparoscopic operations to treat benign general surgery & Upper GI, Upper GI cancer and morbid obesity. My Practice includes Benign (general surgery), Gallstones Laparoscopic Hernia repairs (both elective & emergency) Benign (Upper GI) Laparoscopic Anti-reflux Surgery Laparoscopic repair of giant para-oesophageal hernia Upper GI cancers Lap assisted Ivor Lewis Oesophagectomy Laparoscopic/open Gastrectomy Diagnostic and Therapeutic Endoscopy Bariatric Surgery Laparoscopic Sleeve Gastrectomy Laparoscopic Roux-en-y gastric bypass Revisional Bariatric Surgery
