Hi, I had DBS with Mr Pereira in January. Coming from Ireland we consulted online where we got full confidence with clear and direct answers. The procedure was incident free but it’s still too early to say if it’s worked yet, however the device is ‘in’ which was his job. Pre and post Op communication was excellent with brief daily drop-ins that morning and for 3 of the next 4days afterwards in hospital. The relationship/handoff with my neurologist works well. Administration was made easy once insurance certification was supplied— all done at the worst height of Covid in London. Overall, would highly recommend Mr Pereira and his team

Dr pereira performed MVD surgery on me for TGN At St George’s hospital in Tooting I had suffered for over 25 years . I am now pain free . I wasn’t sure about having the op but was willing to take a risk to try to get rid of my TGN. I am pleased I did . Mr Pereira was amazing . Caring and kind as were all of the team . It wasn’t easy after the op but that was expected . 3 months post op now and all good Thankyou

I had experienced neck and lower back pains sporadically for over a year which I did not take seriously because it was not consistent (in part due to the advice from my GP). I was gifted a bungee jump experience which actually exacerbated the neck pain, but also caused pins and needles type sensations down my arms and my legs. At times I was unable to feel my legs and even walking was a task. There was an array of sensations throughout my body that did not feel normal. The last three fingers on both hands had numbness and the pain was getting worse, with limited neck movement. I was introduced to Mr Pereira on recommendation from a friend of a friend at The London Clinic. After the initial consult I was asked to book in an MRI, Mr Pereira tried to help me get this MRI through the NHS as it was urgent but unfortunately due to the pandemic, MRI appointments were scarce. I ended up paying for my scan after an incident where I fell. Within 2 days, Mr Pereira called me with the results and told me I would need to get spinal surgery quite urgently due to a disc prolapse and spinal compression caused by the bungee jump. He kept my best interests in my mind as he contacted his colleagues and submitted me in for emergency surgery within 2 days at St George's Hospital. After the surgery, I saw immediate relief in my legs, and arms. I was finally able to walk without pain and my arms were 90% back to normal. Mr Pereira ensured he saw me through the whole process and aftercare. I am so grateful for his quick action and recommendations, especially considering there was serious risk of paralysis. It's a testament to Mr Pereira and his colleagues/team who dealt with my op. I cannot thank him enough for helping me with this. I would recommend Mr Pereira wholeheartedly. Whether you are seeing him privately or not, he is absolutely committed to helping his patients with optimal results.

pedunculopontine nucleus deep brain stimulation for freezing and falling -in PD Having suffered from Parkinson’s disease for 12 years I Really had reached the end of the road in terms of therapies for my condition : I was fortunate to find Professors Tipu and Erlick who had had experience of this procedure.Having discussed the pros and cons with them I concluded that going ahead was my best option. The odds of achieving a successful result were in my favour and most importantly I had great confidence in the team who would be looking after me. And so it turned out. The pre and post operative care was first class..and pain free.. The symptoms of PD showed a clear improvement in all respects with the exception of initiating movement from a tight location and even here the time taken to get moving was reduced. The electrical equipment was straight forward and not intrusive. At the time of writing my medication of 4 Stalevo daily works well.

Absolutely first class in every way. His intervention and the work he did in surgery has permanently cured my agonising sciatica that I suffered from for 10 years prior to my treatment. Fully endorsed by me.
