Mt Havranek looked after me when going through my early stage prostate cancer diagnosis. He was just fantastic. He always took his time to explain things to me, was at all times extremely caring and I never felt rushed. I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Mr Havranek. Thankyou

I can't thank enough to Dr Erik Havranek. He listened to my health issue, tried a few different things to get me better and it worked! I first met Erik on the 091212. I had been diagnosed with BPH back in June 2021. I was catheterised and had failed two trials without a catheter. Erik was recommended to me by a close friend. At the time of meeting Erik I was struggling to come to terms with the BPH having never previously had to deal with any medical issues of note. That all changed following the first consultation with Erik. I was struck by his empathy, he listened, his very clear explanation about BPH and the options to treat it left me feeling so much better and lifted my spirits. I chose to try medication to improve urine flow. This was unsuccessful. Erik then set out the best course of action for me was to have a TURP. The procedure was a success and I was so well looked after during my stay at the Clementine Churchill Hospital. I’m delighted with my recovery. Erik is a consummate Urologist Consultant, his professionalism, expertise and inter-personal skills are peerless. I have no hesitation in endorsing Erik to anyone experiencing urinary retention. I am forever grateful to him.

Profile
Mr Erik Havranek is a consultant urological surgeon with a general urological practise as well as a specialist interest in kidney/renal and ureteric stones. In his general Urological practise he manages blood in urine (haematuria), urinary infections, bladder problems, enlarged prostates (BPH), circumcision, cancer diagnosis, fertility diagnosis, vasectomy and erectile dysfunction. He has particular expertise all aspects of kidney stone treatment including ESWL (shockwave lithotripsy), minimally invasive laser ureteroscopy and PCNL (percutaneous nephrolithotomy).
at Northwick Park and Central Middlesex Hospitals in Harrow and London. He also deals with the medical management of metabolic stone disease.
Having graduated from Imperial College (University of London), he completed basic surgical training at St. Mary’s Hospital, Paddington, and trained in Urology on the North West London Urology rotation.
To further his surgical expertise he completed Fellowships at the Princess Alexandra Hospital, Brisbane, Australia and at the Stone Unit in Guy’s Hospital. He has an MD in renal cancer from St. George’s Hospital (University of London).
He has published book chapters, peer reviewed articles and presented at international conferences.
He is a editorial board member of an international urology journal, regularly peer reviews journal articles for scientific journals and teaches on revision courses for junior surgeons.
