I was diagnosed with left lung and kidney cancer in April 2014 at Heartlands Hospital. Was seen by Mr Bishay who advised he could need to remove the lung and colleagues would sort out the kidney. Our conversation was very open and Mr Bishay explained the pros and cons and after the initial shock was so honest in answering my concerns. As a result, we agreed the operation could take place. So in May, I underwent an 8 hour operation at The Priory Hospital to have the lung removed. My recuperation was slow but 6 years later, I am exercising well and have been cleared of the cancer that was in my lung and Kidney. Mr Bishay to me is a hero. He saved my life and has a sense of humour and we had some laughs. I owe the man my life and so happy he has the talent to do more. Thank you to a kind and gentle man.
