I saw so many healthcare professionals for my chronic shoulder pain: GPs, sports doctors, chiropractors, osteopaths etc etc. All of them had a different opinion and I was never clear what my problem actually was. I even had shock wave and a PRP injection, which I later found out are total quackery not supported by science at all! Eventually I was told that I needed surgery to have bone spurs removed, which didn’t make sense to me because no-one had shown me that I had any bone spurs on my scan. I went to see Mr Ibrahim at the Hospital of St John and St Elizabeth and I cannot recommend him highly enough! He was able to accurately diagnose me with a specific type of rotator cuff problem that was different to the normal type. For the first time I was able to understand my pain. Because he is a surgeon, I was expecting him to recommend surgery, but much to my delight he said that it would be possible to rebalance my shoulder naturally with the correct exercises. He referred me to his physio team and I was feeling much better after just a few weeks. Highly recommended!
