As a keen long distance runner I found myself suffering with Plantar fasciitis for over 2years. Giving up running was not an option for me and after endless trips the the GP, being told to stretch, given physio techniques and cortisone injections my plantar partially ruptured leaving me unable to walk let alone run!
I was relieved to finally find someone who not only specialised in Orthopaedics but also understood my passion for running...
Dr Dawe suggested with confidence that calf relief surgery would be of great benefit to me and would allow me to continue to run.
November 2019 I had my surgery, unable to weight bare and now in July 2020 I am running 10 miles :)
