Mr Betel recently operated on me for Breast cancer and throughout the procedure before and after I was extremely happy with him. He was explicit in telling me what he was going to do, was kind and considerate, listened to what I had to say and acted in a thoroughly professional manner at all times, At the post operation consultation he carefully explained all the options open to me and explained exactly what he had done during the operation and the results. Although I did not know Mr Betel prior to this procedure I am extremely pleased that he performed it and would not hesitate to recommend him to others

Breast Cancer will undoubtably effect each of us in a completely different way, not only from the point of diagnosis and treatment plans, but how we as individuals cope and deal with such devastating news. Not only does Mr Betal have excellent skills as a surgeon, just as importantly, his ability to understand and respond to the personal needs of the patient is outstanding. He is thorough and clear in his communication, generous with his time and ensures your understanding of the current situation is delivered in a way that is personal to you. This care extends equally to family members who are supporting you. Mr Betal is supported by an equally skilled team of nurses and I cannot praise enough our NHS from a Breast Cancer Care perspective. Thank you all.

I am very grateful to Dr Batel for seeing me through my treatment with compassion, patience and understanding. I have a long term lung condition and was anxious about my operation to treat breast cancer by wide local excision. Dr Batel talked me through every stage of the process honestly and took my concerns seriously. Appointments were never rushed and I felt fully part of the decision making process. Polite, helpful and treated me with respect. It is obvious that he understood the trauma of discovering that I had breast cancer and operated in a way that minimised the effect of the surgery from a cosmetic point of view and from the discomfort of stitches.
