Mr. Kosuge is a very caring person. Listens to your questions and explains all procedures in a layman’s terms. Goes above and beyond what is expected. I have great trust in his abilities as a surgeon and would have no hesitation in recommending his services to anyone who needs them. Your problem is important to him and he never makes you feel that you are just another patient. He is excellent.

Mr Dennis Kosuge has a very pleasant manner and it is easy to feel confidence in him. He was very thorough in his explanations to all of my questions in a very reassuring manner. His explanation of what to expect after the op and the importance of completing the exercises both before and after enabled me to get the best out of the procedure. The result was a quick and painless operation for a total hip replacement and resulted in only 2 nights stay in hospital. His follow up consultations were very friendly and informative and I was put completely at ease. I would recommend Mr Dennis Kosuge to anyone who is waiting for surgery. His helpful manor and care can't be beaten

I would highly recommend Mr Kosuge to anyone considering a knee replacement. He was very clear about all aspects of the process and the expected outcomes. Mr Kosuge is amicable and took the time to listen to me and addressed all of my questions and concerns. - additional literature was also available so that I could learn more about the procedure. He was very reassuring on the day of my surgery and I felt confident about him carrying out the operation. I am delighted with the results. I can now walk with ease and without pain.

Mr Dennis Kosuge took on board the fact that I was hearing impaired and spoke clearly and slowly, ensuring that I could see his face so that I could lip-read. At my first consultation, he explained clearly what the problem was and what the possible options were. He treated me as an individual, listened to my questions and concerns and answered them fully. He was totally professional and at the same time, caring and compassion towards me and the pain and loss of mobility I was experiencing. This continued throughout my time in hospital having a THR and at the follow-up consultation.

Profile

Mr Kosuge developed his passion for Trauma & Orthopaedics as a junior doctor and pursued this by enrolling onto the North-East Thames Percival Pott Orthopaedic Training Programme. His training took him to prestigious centres including The Royal London Hospital, The Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital and Norfolk & Norwich University Hospital. He was inspired by a number of his excellent trainers to focus on the subspecialty of hip and knee joint replacements.

Following completion of specialist training in the United Kingdom, he enrolled onto and successfully completed a one-year fellowship at the Royal Adelaide Hospital in Australia under the auspices of Professor Donald Howie. This fellowship allowed Mr Kosuge to refine his skills in hip and knee joint replacements, as well as revision hip replacements. During his orthopaedic training, he was the recipient of the British Orthopaedic Association (BOA) Zimmer Adult Reconstruction Hips and Knees Fellowship in 2014, the AOTrauma Fellowship in 2013 and the Tohoku University Orthopaedic Visiting Fellowship in 2010 – and utilised his time visiting, learning and exchanging ideas with centres of excellence in Japan.
