It has been a absolute pleasure to be treated by Mr Ratliff, his level and standard of communication with me has been superb throughout delays to my surgery caused by the pandemic. He fully explained my condition and treatment required to a satisfactory degree so I fully understood every detail of what’s involved ,this helped reduce my anxieties. We are in extraordinarily difficult times especially for our NHS, despite this Mr Ratliff and others provided an exceptional service. I’m now fully recovered and able to enjoy good health. Many thanks

I cannot praise Mr Ratliff enough, from our first telephone consultation to my surgery and aftercare, he was kind, informative answered all my questions, explained everything in great detail so that I would understand, and reassured me every step of the way, he really does care about his patients. I had a parathyroidectomy and a thyroid nodule aspirated, my scar is so neat and in time I'm sure will be barely noticeable in the future, I'm truly grateful to him and his team for doing my surgery and greatly improving the quality of my life, thank you.

Mr Ratliff removed 3 of my parathyroid glands in an operation on the 4 May. He had instilled confidence in me from the first consultation through to surgery and follow up consultations. He explained clearly and thoroughly the benefits (and risks) of having the operation. I have a 2-3 inch scar on my neck from the operation, but this is healing well & is very neat. I am sure this will be hardly visible in time. My repeat bloods have come back normal, although I don't think I needed the results to tell me that, as I have felt so much better since the operation. I am much less tired, my aching joints have improved no end, as has my flexibility and mobility - all this from the removal of 3 little glands, which weren't working properly. From my experience, I can only say the the benefits of the parathyroidectomy are superb and Mr Ratliff is definitely the 'go to' surgeon for this operation. Thank you!

I recently had minimally invasive surgery to remove a parathyroid gland. Mr Ratliff was extremely professional but friendly throughout my care. I felt included in my care every step of the way which enabled me to feel completely safe. The surgery was successful and I am delighted with the outcome.

Mr Ratliff looked after me with great sensitiveness and care. He fully explained my procedure and what would happen, before, during and after the operation. He undertook a parathyroidectomy by keyhole surgery, which was very successful, leaving a small scar which healed well, with no after effects. I would recommend Mr Radliff to anyone who needs this type of surgery. His bedside manner was excellent, on the ward, in theatre, and at the post recovery outpatient clinic.
