A lovely Consultant.Very easy to talk to and explains everything clearly. He treated me ten years ago and it was a great success. I have recently seen him again with a similar problem and i have complete confidence that he will do everything possible to get me back to normal.

So far so good!! I went to see Mr Birchley because I was unhappy with the swelling of one leg and a varicose vein which I had had for 50 years. He was so calm and explained everything as he was examing my leg. Once he had done so he told me the options I had. As I was keen not to have surgery which included a general anathestic I opted for Clarivein catheter and foam sclerotherapy. A date was set for this fairly quickly. The procedure took exactly 30 minutes as he said it would. Virtually no pain during the procedure, just the odd pin prick! Mr Birchley explained everyhing he was doing which gave me confidence. I came home all bandaged up and started walking straight away. As instructed, I took the bandage off five days later and as I say so far so good. Not one pain killer needed throughout! I go back to him in six weeks time for to check all is in order! Onwards and upwards! Thank you Mr Birchley!

I saw Mr Birchley in regards to a vascular issue. I found him to be extremely professional and knowledgeable and he took time to answer all my questions. I arrived at the appointment in a panic and full of worry and I left the appointment with a huge weight lifted off my shoulders and a full understanding of my situation. He was kind, caring, professional and above all human. He was easy to talk to and he explained things fully and in a language I could understand. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Mr Birchley to anyone and I can’t thank him enough for all that he did for me.

Dr Birchley treated me as an aquaintance he may have met before in a pub, no airs and graces just an ordinary working relationship with client. He was direct and to the point whom I felt relaxed with.
