Mr Hart is an amazing consultant ! Would highly recommend, he is very courteous and understanding of your needs, listens to your concerns , and I always felt in very safe hands.
I truly cannot thank him enough for looking after me and getting me back to health again!!!!!
Will always be very grateful for the wonderful service I received !

I cannot praise Mr Hart highly enough , apart for the ultimate accolade that without his skill and care I would not be writing this review today .
I was diagnosed with a substantial blockage in bowel ( turned out to bee cancerous ) and in need of an emergency operation .Within 12 hours of my diagnosis Mr Hart was by my hospital bed giving me pragmatic and clear advice as to the procedure he proposed to undertake . He took time to talk me through the procedure and made me aware of the risks and gave me absolute confidence in what he proposed .He undertook the operation that evening .
At the end of a 6 hour operation he took time ( it was gone midnight by now ) to call my wife ( this was during the pandemic and no visitors were allowed ) and spent time answering all her questions as he did a number of times over the proceeding week .
During my 2 week recovery period both in ITU and on the ward he would visit daily and keep me informed as to progress .His bedside manner was exemplary , kind , informative and humorous .
My family and I will be for ever grateful to him and cannot recommend him highly enough .

I highly recommend MR Hart and would not hesitate to see him again. His manner, listening skills and attention to details were great.
He was quick to see me and quick to give me results.
He understood that I was anxious and was extremely supportive. He helped me immensely.

What an absolute GEM. Dr Hart performed multiple emergency surgeries on me and though yes importantly he is one of the reasons I am here today - what stood out to me during that tough time was his incredible kindness. He is a magical human being who is not only amazing at his job but he really does care and fought for me every step of the way. I remember though a haze of drugs him telling me that 'we were winning'. He is on your side. What more could you need.

Mr Colin Hart read Medicine at Leicester Medical School and has worked throughout London and the East Midlands. He was awarded his MD by University College London. He was appointed as a Consultant General and Colorectal Surgeon at the Royal Free Hospital in 2015. His primary interest is in managing complex abdominal wall hernias and he manages inflammatory bowel disease, colonic cancers, diverticular disease, adhesional and other obstructions of the bowel. He also treats all benign perianal disease including fissures, fistulas, prolapse, haemorrhoids and other lesions. Mr Hart provides a safe, effective service with the patient at the very centre of all decisions and aims to return patients to their normal activities as soon as possible.
