Mr Christopher Wayne

I saw this consultant many years ago and recently for a new investigation and cannot recommend him highly enough. He puts you at ease immediately — something that is not always easy to achieve in a gynaecological setting. His bedside manner is lovely. He listens and asks good questions. There was no sense of being rushed or dismissed. Clinically, he is thorough and knowledgeable but efficient without seeming rushed. He also has a genuine warmth and quiet humour that puts you at ease. The combination of clinical excellence and communication skills/ kindness is rarer than it should be in medicine, and it makes a big difference.

Mr Wayne has been amazing from start to finish. From my initial consultation, to my hysterectomy and to just having my final consultation. He has been very thorough and always taken the time to answer any questions and explain everything very clearly. I felt in very safe hands. I cannot recommend this Consultant highly enough. I was under the care of Mr. Wayne for a hysteroscopy at Wycombe General Hospital this week. He put me at my ease prior to the procedure, which was carried out under a general anaesthetic following an earlier unsuccessful attempt by another consultant. Without going into any further detail, he gave me confidence after months of concern about my health. His team were quick to reassure me after the procedure that all was well. I cannot recommend this man highly enough and I thank him for his expertise.

Lovely bedside manner, put my mind at ease. There was a compilation during my procedure but dealt with it quickly and was very calm. Works with a very good and experienced team too. Secretary Suzi is also very good and reassuring.

I lost a baby and was unaware until a scan around 3mths, the foetus required removal. Although I was in shock and upset, he tried his hardest to make things comfortable for me and help. I paid for the scan privately as it was not available on the NHS at the time in this Health Area. He told to me to have the courage to break the news to contact my partner there and then. Doing that helped enormously. He checked I was ok to go home alone. He was very kind, explained everything, the next steps, and my options. He gave me a choice of dates to come into Wycombe or Stoke Mandeville NHS for the op within 24hrs to 3 days. It was handled very well and because of that it really helped me to come to terms with everything. Over a year later I had a healthy baby.
