I had my hand operation on the 23rd December. There was a really relaxed atmosphere in theatre, the staff were amazing at making you feel at ease. Mr Powell explained everything he was going to do, and even let me have a look and explained what he was doing at my request. The operation has made a huge difference already. I have feeling back in my hand already which is amazing because I had quite a lot of nerve damage. It has healed amazingly after just four weeks. Went back yesterday for my post op check up, only waited for 5 minutes in the waiting room and Mr Powell called me in. He was really happy with the results. It has been an all round very positive experience from start to finish. Very professional.

After talking through the issue with my hand, Mr Powell clearly explained the procedure he could perform to relieve the symptons and advised of all potential risks. After opting for the surgery, I could not be more delighted with the outcome. Just three months after the procedure my hand is no longer sore or feathered. He is clearly a very competent surgeon as the scarring is very minimal compared to what it was prior to surgery and there was also no nerve damage. In addition, he has a very calm and confident demeanour which immedidately puts you at ease.

Having had three Steroid injections for my Trigger finger which lasted the most 4 to 6 months each time. I was offered surgical release with Mr Christopher Powell, he explained all that he would be able to do to help and also the things that might be of trouble after the operation. I did as I was told on leaving the Hospital and thrilled to say my hand was back to normal, other than the finger being a little stiff in the mornings, within three weeks.
