Saw this lovely chap at Methley Spire, he put me at ease straight away and as a health anxiety sufferer that was HUGE! Had operation at Pinderfields and Mr Mack did an awesome job, nice n tidy and no stoma. Now at Dewsbury District having chemo, my journey is not yet over but I cannot praise Mr Mack enough, Just a thoroughly nice fella you can have a chat with and feel at complete ease, not to mention a brilliant surgeon. I'am sure our paths will cross again and apart from the "serious" stuff a few laughs too! I highly recommend Chris, he's just a normal chappie doing a great job!

Mr Macklin was quick to settle my nerves, he explained in detail what was going to happen. He also helped me understand that what he was performing is not a cure but, will reset the clock giving me months or maybe years of relief until I need another intervention. The procedure was 90% successful but, I needed to stop. He was kind to waiver his fees and return once again, that to me indicates he is a genuine person and cares for his patients. We subsequently learn that the equipment was faulty (no fault of Mr Macklin) and I will again undergo another procedure. Appreciate your honesty Mr Macklin, thank you Best Regards Manuel Buttigieg

Mr Macklin and his team at Pinderfields saved my life in October 2020. I was admitted to a&e with indescribable pain,thankfully I somehow ended up in the extremely skillful hands of this wonderful surgeon. The gods were truly smiling down on me as i was extremely ill and the operation went brilliantly. I cannot thank Mr Macklin and the rest of the people that cared for me and got me through it. I am now looking at a reversal and even though my consultation at the end of the month is not with Mr Macklin i hope he will be the lead on the reversal op as i trust him completely.

Been treated and today operated on by Mr Mackin @ Spire Elĺand. Day surgery carried out on time and I now feel 100% better. Brilliant job well done.A big thank you.

I have known Mr macklin for over 12 years and over the years we have had a good laugh about anything and everything. When I first met Chris after 3 years without a consultant at dewsbury hospital we hit it off straight away, when I had my 2nd big operation half way through the 10 hour operation he gave my mum a ring to put her mind at ease that everything was going has planned. I would trust him with any member of my family. I just hope his wife forgives me for the bottle of whisky I gave him for giving me a life back all them years ago

Mr Mackin is a professional throughout. He is thorough and explains everything in a way that is easy to understand, keeps you informed and ensures your procedure goes as smoothly as possible. I would highly recommend him.

Christopher Macklin was brilliant!! As were all the other staff I came into contact with at the Spire Hospital, Elland. I was made to feel comfortable about the whole process, from initial consultation, through the day in hospital and at my final consultation two months after the Op. I was given adequate information about the operation and actual care at the hospital was second to none. Thank you all!!

Christoper Macklin is a consummate professional who has been looking after me now since I was diagnosed with colorectal cancer in April 2016. He is an excellent surgeon and has always had my best interests at heart and has given me a service that I would say is above and beyond any previous expectations that I had from the outset. Chris works alongside an excellent team and it is clear to me that he commands utter respect from everyone he is associated with and rightly so. He's got an excellent sense of humour which I find can lighten my meetings with him when clearly we are discussing serious topics. I always look forward to seeing him even though some of the conversations that we have had have latterly been tricky, but due to his skill and professionalism I am now well on my way toward a full recovery. I would not hesitate to recommend his services to anyone who needs them.
