The doctor and team provided excellent emergency medical care. Chris and his team were professional, attentive, informed of the situation and very accommodating. The transport/transfer was smooth and quicker than took no time at all. I would highly recommend Airmed.
Chris is a fantastic Doctor. Having an NHS background I know that it's easy to be bogged down with a large number of patients, but I was made to feel very welcome, comfortable, and I knew what was happening at all times. Chris has a great manner, and is very understanding.
Really nice doctor who was prompt when I came back from XR and although he ripped off my makeshift dressing quickly, it was less traumatising than I thought!
While the Doctor was positive, able to diagnose the problem and was pleasant, respective and polite, he did not provide a full enough explanation of recovery rates and time factor.
With broken ribs, I asked about exercise. His answer yes I could but he did not go onto explain that rapid movement of my right arm, or movement above my head was not conducive to recovery. My physio however, explained all the necessary facts and time frames for me. Surely the Doctor should. I am lucky that I have access to a physio of high quality. What about other patients who go to A&E, do they have access or ability to pay for additional services. A&E Doctors need to give full explanations therefore.
I went to the Invercargill A & E with excruciating pain in my abdomen. Prof Chris Bulstrode was very thorough and quick with his diagnosis. Unfortunately he could not continue my treatment as I have other doctors on my case. He was straight the point without beating around the bush, which is exactly what I needed as I really don't like hospitals or doctors, and he was also sensitive to my need. I would recommend him
