I arrived in the department at 9 am on Friday morning and was seen by the receptionist on arrival. After approximately 20 minutes I was seen by Prof Bulstrode. He had a very personable and humerous attitude which put me at my ease. After telling him the history of my problem he examined me. He immediately arranged for me to have an xray, and that when that had been done would talk me through the outcome. I waited about 10 minutes, and whilst doing so was approached by 2 members of staff to make sure I was okay. After the xray was taken Prof Bulstode showed me the resulting xray and explained in very simple terms the diagnosis.

Excellent care. Professor Bulstrode explained everything clearly, kept me advised of the progress of investigations, explained the diagnosis and the next steps to be taken. Excellent care from all of the A&E team and the MRI team.

Best Doctor I have ever seen. Clear, concise and reassuring. Was really good with the trainee too. Excellent

My 5-year old daughter was seen by Prof Bulstrode in A & E with an episode of asthma. He talked directly to my daughter, which she really appreciated. He was extremely kind and gave very pragmatic advice.

I came on Sunday morning having rung 111. I am on Warfarin and they had recently up my dose. I had a heavy nose bleed that I was unable to stop after 2 hours which was unusually in both nostrils. The nurse was very helpful. I was aware that a serious nose bleed could indicate bleeding elsewhere. Saw Doctor after nose bleed had eventually stopped. He was very reassuring and I felt entirely confident that he know his business. Also a nice man. They checked my Warfarin which was actually within right range.
