I have been a patient of Mr Bailey for over 5 years, he has always been considerate, listens to what I have had to say and is very accommodating. I would highly recommend him to my family/friends if they required the same surgery that I had to have.
i went to see Mr Bailey with an ongoing shoulder problem. He explained the problem and gave me 2 choices, I took the first choice to start as I wasn't keen on having an operation. After 3 injections I decided this was only a short term fix. Made appointment with Mr Bailey who listened to my concerns at having an op as being diabetic. When I left this appointment after agreeing to be put on the list for surgery, I felt really happy and my fears disappeared, I thought to myself I trust this dr totally.
Got the op day and most people will feel a little nervous. I was a bit but knew I was going to be well looked after.
In the recovery room, I do remember seeing Mr Bailey at the end of the bed with his thumbs up and asking me to move my fingers.
I returned to the 6 bed ward and was looked after by fantastic nurses.
All I can say is Mr Bailey's team on that day were absolutely fab, so friendly, caring.
In general the NHS get bad press, why can't the media give the NHS the praise they deserve. I will not have anything bad said about the NHS, Mr Bailey or his team. For me they did their job brilliant.
Once the decision was made to replace my knee the procedure was very professional including after care. The timing of when to replace a knee is obviously in the hands of the consultant who will leave it as late as possible. Having had a successful replacement I wonder if it could have been replaced earlier to improve my lifestyle at a younger age.
I have been Mr Baileys patient for 3 years, and during that time, he has done 3 operations on my right shoulder and 1 on my left.
Mr Bailey always greets patients with a handshake and a big smile.
After the pondering time wasting NHS system got their act together it was very reassuring to to speak with Mr Bailey who diagnosed the cause of my shoulder pain in one visit, he explained the operation and the pain I would experience and yes it was painful but the pain is subsiding rapidly just as he said it would.
I have no reservations in recommending Mr Bailey.
