I would happily recommend Mr. Bailey. My diagnosis was not what I expected. It took me time to accept that I needed knee replacements not minor repairs. Mr Bailey explained my options and gave me time to think things through. I eventually decided to proceed with surgery and am now 9 weeks post-op. I am glad that Mr Bailey was my surgeon, and will return to him when I want my second knee replaced.

Excellent treatment from start to finish. Had left knee replaced in April 2023 and right knee replacement In December 2023. On both occasions I was treated with great care and compassion.

My first consultation with Mr Bailey was in November 2022 when his advice was to put me on his full knee replacement wait list . He also advised that the waiting time was about 12 months . I received a call offering me an operation date in September 2024 which I had to decline but a second date in November 2023 was agreed . I am now 8 weeks after my surgery and have recovered 115 degrees knee bend and working hard to strengthen muscles and hamstrings . The pre and post operation management has been a great success , especially my 2 days in Winchester Hospital . I really appreciate Mr Bailey's honest , no nonsense approach and cannot thank his team enough for my successful operation .

I had a total knee replacement after a long time of losing my mobility slowly . No amount of warning can prepare anyone for the reality of the surgery and the sheer difficulty of the first few weeks after the operation . Chris’ friendliness and enthusiasm are evident but his skill has transformed my life . I have the most amazing new knee it’s 6 mo this on now and I can bend it exactly like before but with no pain ! I can go to the gym and can go about my everyday life and work. The reason I’m sure is that the surgery is great and I had a kit of help and encouragement do properly do the rehabilitation which is really hard in the first few weeks but crucial . It would have been nice if had been a bit more prepared for the pain but maybe it was just as well! I can’t believe how I’ve got my life back and it’s only 1 knee . Thank you .

In July 2023, Mr Chris Bailey operated on my left knee, a total knee replacement. It was an excellent performance before and after the surgery, brilliant care/physiotherapy throughout my short stay at the Nuffield Hospital, and followed by physiotherapy after discharge. Three months on, I have regained mobility in my knee, it has healed so well, and my knee is totally pain free. Thank you Mr Chris Bailey and the team for all the care and consideration. I am very confident now and I look forward to having a consultation with him regarding my right knee. I would highly recommend a wonderful surgeon, his team and the hospital to anyone.
