Mr Christopher Anderson is a first class Surgeon. I am 58 years old. I am a Senior Consultant in Emergency Medicine in South Wales, UK. In January 2020 I was diagnosed with renal cancer. This was found totally unexpectedly through an episode of renal colic. Mr Anderson was recommended to me by a friend. Mr Anderson treated me with professionalism and was exceptionally courteous. I was very impressed when he discussed all options available for treatment during the first consultation (whether to wait and see or to operate). He was very kind in allowing me to choose and I opted to have the operation. From the minute I met Mr Anderson to the point where I was discharged he was extremely thorough with excellent communication skills. I received my operation swiftly. Mr Anderson operated on me in March 2020. Due to the location of the cancer in my kidney ( the lesion was central and very close to the renal vein), the excision of this lesion would have been extremely difficult and challenging. More so due the renal artery clamp critical time. Mr Anderson was successful in the removal of the cancer via a laparoscopic procedure with a good safety margin. ( This was confirmed in the histopathology report). The follow up care I also received was exemplary. Last week I received my first follow-up contrast CT scan for chest and abdomen. I am so pleased to know that the scan confirmed no recurrence of the cancer or spread to any local or regional lymph nodes. I made a full physical and also emotional recovery. I owe Mr Anderson my life. In my view he is the best Urology Consultant for laparoscopic surgery in the United Kingdom. His knowledge, operation and communication skills are second to none. I highly recommend him. His patients are in the safest of hands and will be receiving the best care possible and available for their condition.

Chris Anderson combines no flummery and getting straight to the point with patience and a willingness to listen. Treatment for a serious conditions raises unknowns and is worrying - precisely for that reason. I found him a calming guide.
