I liked his overall approach - he started by asking me all sort of questions to ensure he knew a bit about me generally, before rushing in to discuss the particular issue that had led to my making an appointment with him. He listened carefully. He was polite and neither intrusive nor uncaring. His overall tone was completely appropriate. When it came to discussing my particular issue, he gave me good background / overall information in advance of my having a scan etc and then, when I came back to discuss the results, he was informative and clear - about the findings and suggestions as to what to do / not to do going forward. I believe he was also careful to ensure that I had understood what was being said and was more than happy for more to ask further questions etc. I had confidence and trust in him.
