I could not speak more highly of Dr Abela and the team of nurses, anaesthetists and support staff that he has built around him. It has now been a year since my surgery and not only did I get an outcome that I am happy with but the whole experience from initial appointment to surgery to post op care has been spot on.

I cannot thank Chris enough for his expertise & superb listening & bedside manner. He never interrupted me & answered any questions I had to put my mind at rest. He took as long as needed to run through everything, all options & pros and cons to each. When I had my Lipoma removed I seriously don’t know how he managed it but I had ZERO discomfort even when injecting the local anaesthetic, then he used a scalpel & only opened the minimum possible and had it removed in no time. I’ve just had the wound check & it’s perfect, you can hardly see where it was done & it’s less than 2 weeks ago - not even a bruise, this doctor must have a magic wand! Well, he may not have a magic wand but he does have the best secretary I’ve ever had the pleasure of dealing with (Natalie Foster) she is equally as understanding & thorough as Dr Abela. I unfortunately have had to deal with a lot of secretaries both private & NHS & she is the best, believe me, even private when you expect great service it’s not often the case. Natalie made sure I was always updated every step of the way. There’s one thing having one of the best surgeons but if you don’t have that paired with a great secretary then it makes your process / journey far more difficult but with Dr Abela you get one of the best surgeons & one of the best secretaries too so it’s a win win. I really couldn’t ask for more & can’t put into words just how happy I am with the service by Chris & Natalie plus the hospital was also great too! Many thanks to all! Matt D

Mr Abela is a fantastic surgeon. He did my floating abdominoplasty and hernia repair 10 weeks ago. Whilst incredibly professional and knowledgeable at all times, he was also very caring. Pre- procedure, Mr Abela took the time to respond to all my questions and post-operatively, he made sure to check the progress of my recovery. At all times, I felt that I could reach out to either him or Natalie (his secretary) without any issues or delays. The after care is simply excellent. It has only been 10 weeks and I can already see the results of the surgery. I never looked better! I would highly recommend Mr Abela, he is a true expert in this field.

Mr Abela did my Diastasis Rectus and tummy tuck. He was professional, friendly and he reassured me that everything would be fine, and he was right. It’s been a year since I had my surgery, and I look completely different, and I feel wonderful. No more bulging stomach. Thank you again Mr Abela.

I have had a very good experience with Mr Abela. He gave me realistic, sound advice about my diastasis recti, he is very experienced in this area. My surgery was performed to a very high standard and the overall result was aesthetically very pleasing and a significant improvement in my functionality. I am very pleased I had surgery.
