I have seen Chinmay a few times now and I would not go to anyone else. He has a good understanding of what is going on before confirming his thoughts with the appropriate scans; explains everything clearly and gives practical advice for post-treatment care. In particular, he does not tell you what and what not to do, he gives you a choice and explains the implications of each. In addition, Chinmay gives a holistic assessment of what may help for longer-term self-care, rather than only focusing on the specific issue that he has helped to resolve.

Mr Gupte is very friendly and attentive. During my first consultation, he provided a thorough explanation of my condition and promptly referred me for further tests, which helped identify other areas needing attention. He also offered valuable personal advice on my overall health and next steps. Mr Gupte’s secretary is also excellent — she responds promptly and ensures a smooth, well-organised process from start to finish. I have full trust in Mr Gupte’s opinion and professionalism regarding my condition, and I plan to return to him in the coming months once I’ve focused on my other health concerns. The Wellington Hospital is also a great place for care. All staff are friendly, attentive and nice. Overall I am extremely pleased with my visit to Mr Gupte. You will not regret visiting him.

The ease of making an appointment and choosing where to have the consultation was good. I was thoroughly assessed and given a 3 point management plan/ option on moving forward.

Dr. Chinmay Gupte provided me with a second opinion on my torn medial meniscus. Unlike my first consultant, he was confident that my case could likely be repaired rather than requiring a meniscectomy. Impressively, he even suspected that the injury was tennis-related before I mentioned that I played. His confidence and expertise gave me complete trust in his ability. The surgery went smoothly, and I am now recovering well. I would highly recommend Dr. Gupte to anyone seeking treatment for knee issues.

I am very thankful to Mr. Gupte for everything he did for me. In 2023, I tore my ACL and meniscus while on a family skiing holiday during Easter break, and I was devastated. I was worried I might never be able to ski or play sports again properly, but Mr. Gupte made me feel hopeful from the very beginning. He explained the surgery process in a way I could understand and made me feel comfortable throughout. The surgery itself went smoothly, and although recovery was tough at times, my follow-up appointments with Mr. Gupte every few weeks were very helpful. He reassured me that if I kept up with my at-home exercises and physiotherapy sessions to strengthen my hamstrings, quads, glutes, and all the muscles around my torn ligaments, I’d be on my way to a healthy, full recovery. Mr. Gupte was right—I was able to fully resume sports activities at school and outside of school by autumn 2024. Additionally in autumn 2024, I had my pins removed from my ACL reconstruction. These pins were no longer necessary and had been limiting the full flexion of my knee, causing discomfort. I was nervous again, however Mr. Gupte reassured me and ensured the procedure was quick and much less painful than the first. Once again, he was right. My knee feels stronger than ever, and I am back to playing sports and enjoying other activities. I truly appreciate how caring and professional Mr. Gupte was throughout the whole process. He gave me my confidence back, and I’m so grateful for his expertise. Thanks to him, I’m able to be active without worrying about my knee—and I especially cannot wait to ski again!
